Introducing

We’re over the moon to introduce our latest new team member, Richard McAleavy.

As our Head of Client Engagement he will be helping us develop new business opportunities while strengthening our existing client base.

Richard has a wealth of industry experience with 20 years under his belt, holding senior commercial positions at global agencies, as well as client-side sales and marketing roles. He’s worked on a number of well-known consumer healthcare brands from Voltarol and Strepsils to Canesten.

Richard shares our skillset and values, with client delight at the centre of his approach to new business. But he also adds a really exciting new dimension to the team as he has a strong background in technology. He’ll be a real asset and we look forward to growing the business with him on board.

He told us, “The Behaviours Agency has a really strong team, producing excellent quality campaigns. They’re insight driven, so I see some real opportunities to excite brands with what they do“.

To help us get to know Richard a little bit more we put him through his paces with our new starter quiz…

What’s your favourite national or international brand?

At the risk of being labelled a ‘fan-boy’, my favourite brand has to be Apple.  From their ‘Think Different’ to ‘There’s an app for that’ campaigns, Apple has always succeeded in creating a powerful emotional connection with their brand, as well as a strong desire to own their products.  On a personal note, I can always feel the anticipation rising prior to their WWDC and Special Event keynotes!

And your favourite local business?

My local pub! They serve great food and drink (Including a wide selection of whiskeys), and with a range of events from summer BBQs, to bands and singers, there’s always something to keep you entertained.  But the personal service is the reason I keep going back.

Who is your favourite shopping companion?

My dad, we have very similar interests and tastes so tend to have enjoyable boy days out.

Shopping online or in store?

Both! Online is great for convenience and scoping out purchases, but nothing beats getting hands-on with the product.

Black Friday or January sales?

I’m a traditionalist in this respect, so January sales for me –it’s all part of the Christmas holiday experience.
